Christine and Bernard Bijaoui bought La Boissière, a typical Provencal farm, in 2002. They renovated the farm, creating 3 gîtes. In 2003 they planted 1800 olive trees and now produce the best olive oïl in the region.
With dramatic views of Mont Ventoux and surrounding mountains, set in 12 hectares of cherry and olive trees, this is the perfect place for a holiday in Vaucluse, Provence. See the Photo Gallery for more photos of La Boissière and surrounds. La Boissière is situated in the Rhône Valley, 2 km from the small town of Malaucène which has shops, supermarket, chemist, restaurants, doctors – in fact everything you might need – even a superb new Spa with gym, sauna, steam room and massage.
The area is famous for its cycling routes, walks and of course – wine! The scores of nearby vineyards of the Gigondas, Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Beaumes de Venise all welcome visitors for wine tasting.
The Dentelles de Montmirail are close by for walking and rock-climbing.
The weekly Provencal Markets are famous and our gîte is close to four of the best: Carpentras, Vaison, Bedoin and of course Malaucène.
